It is one of the few parts of the machine your hand is actually on every morning, and the one that most obviously came from somewhere else.

This replaces it with a single piece of solid hardwood. It is shaped for the way you really use it, so it sits comfortably in the fingers instead of pinching them, and it is easier to turn when the valve has gone stiff. It is also simply nicer to look at than the part it replaces.

It is sold as a single wheel.

The wood is Styrian hardwood from a local sawmill, and I hand-pick every board. Each wheel is shaped on its own and sanded through the grits by hand until the surface is silk-smooth, then finished with a food-safe oil made in Austria.

Because these are cut in small batches from natural wood, the grain on your wheel will not match the photographs exactly. The shape and the finish are consistent; the figure is not.
